Girl Scouts of Southeastern New England's online properties are comprised of, but not limited to, all pages found under www.gssne.org. GSSNE's privacy policy is incorporated by reference and available here. These terms apply to any GSSNE site that links to these terms, Girl Scouts of the USA and other Girl Scout council websites are separate and are subject to their own terms and conditions.

By using the pages on this site, you signify your agreement to these Terms and Conditions, and you represent and warrant that you have the legal right and ability to enter into such an agreement. If you do not agree to these terms of use, please do not use the Girl Scouts of Southeastern New England sites. OWNERSHIP AND RESTRICTIONS ON USE OF MATERIALS
Unless otherwise noted, all materials, including images, illustrations, designs, icons, photographs, video clips, and written and other materials contained on any Girl Scouts of Southeastern New England site (collectively, the “Contents”), are protected by copyrights, trademarks, trade dress, and/or other intellectual property owned, licensed, or controlled by Girl Scouts of Southeastern New England.
The Contents of all Girl Scout–owned sites are intended solely for personal, noncommercial (other than for the purchase of merchandise from our site) use by the users of our site. You may view, copy, and print the Contents displayed on this site subject to the following conditions:
(i) you use the material for noncommercial use only,
(ii) you keep intact all copyright and other proprietary notices,

Girl Scouts has the sole and exclusive right by virtue of its Congressional Charter, 36 U.S.C. § 80301 et. seq., to have and use all service marks, trademarks, emblems, badges, descriptive or designating marks, and other words now or heretofore used in carrying out its program and is the owner of the GIRL SCOUTS name, service mark, and trademark, and of all other associated names, marks, slogans, insignias, logotypes and designs, including but not limited to the distinctive TREFOIL design mark, the GSUSA uniforms and other indicia, the names and marks “Girl Scouts of the United States of America,” “Girl Scout Daisies,” “Girl Scout Brownies,” “Girl Scout Juniors,” “Girl Scout Cadettes,” “Girl Scout Seniors,” and “Girl Scout Ambassadors,” and such trademarks and service marks as WHERE GIRLS GROW STRONG, FOR EVERY GIRL EVERYWHERE, GIRLSPORTS, and GIRL SCOUT COOKIES (hereinafter collectively identified as the “Intellectual Property”).
All other trademarks displayed on this site or through links to other sites are the property of the respective trademark owners.
USER COMMENTS, FEEDBACK, SUBMISSIONS, AND POSTINGS
Girl Scouts of Southeastern New England may allow you to communicate, submit, upload, transmit, or otherwise make available text, images, audio, video, product feedback, reviews, suggestions, and other content through the site (collectively, the “Submission(s),” which may also be referred to as “User-Provided Content" when posted by a user to a Girl Scouts of Southeastern New England site and which collectively are “Submission(s) including in the form of comments, feedback, submissions, or other information. Unless otherwise provided by another agreement you entered into with Girl Scouts of Southeastern New England, by transmitting Submissions on or through the site, you understand and grant Girl Scouts of Southeastern New England and its designees a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, assignable, sublicensable license to use, reproduce, incorporate, edit, publish, broadcast, post, copy, perform, store, modify, display, distribute, prepare derivative works based on, and transmit such Submissions, and you waive any and all moral rights and publicity rights in such Submissions. Girl Scouts of Southeastern New England will be entitled to use the Submission for any and all purposes, including, commercial, promotional, marketing or other purpose whatsoever, without compensation to you or any other person sending the Submission. You acknowledge that you own whatever material you submit and use of your Submission by Girl Scouts of Southeastern New England will not infringe or violate the rights of any third party, including copyrights, other property rights, and rights of privacy. You may not make any Submissions that (i) are or may reasonably be considered to be, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, tortious, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, pornographic, libelous, invasive of another's privacy, bigoted, hateful, or racially, ethnically or otherwise offensive or objectionable, (ii) violate any law, statute, ordinance, or regulation (including, but not limited to, those governing export control, intellectual property, consumer protection, unfair competition, anti-discrimination, or false advertising), (iii) are false, inaccurate, or misleading, (iv)includes personal or sensitive information regarding yourself or another person, (v) result in spam to other users, or (vi) that contain any harmful or malicious software.
Girl Scouts of Southeastern New England has the right, but not the obligation, to monitor, screen, block, post, remove, modify, store, and review Submissions or any other communications sent through this website, at any time and for any reason, including to ensure that Submissions conform to these terms, without prior notice to you. We are not responsible for, do not endorse or guarantee, and are not responsible for errors or omissions or the accuracy, integrity, or quality of the opinions, views, advice, or recommendations in any Submissions posted or sent by users.
USER PROHIBITED CONDUCT
You may not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion or feature of the website or any other systems or networks connected to the site or to any Girl Scouts of Southeastern New England server, or to any of the services offered on or through the site, by hacking, password “mining,” or any other illegitimate means.
You may not probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the website or any network connected to the site, nor breach the security or authentication measures on the site or any network connected to the site. You may not reverse look up, trace, or seek to trace any information on any other user of or visitor to the site, or any Girl Scouts of Southeastern New England member or individual associated with Girl Scouts of Southeastern New England, including any Girl Scouts of Southeastern New England account not owned by you, to its source, or exploit the site or any service or information made available or offered by or through the site, in any way where the purpose is to reveal any information, including but not limited to personal identification or information, other than your own information, as provided for by the site.
REPORTING OF ABUSIVE, UNLAWFUL SUBMISSIONS OR CONTENT, OR OTHER SUBMISSIONS, CONTENT, OR ACTIVITY THAT VIOLATE THESE TERMS
If you have knowledge of abusive, infringing, or otherwise unlawful Submissions or other content on this website or other unlawful or abusive conduct associated this website, we want to know. CLAIMS REGARDING COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENTS
Pursuant to the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512), Girl Scouts of the USA has implemented procedures for receiving written notification of claimed copyright infringement for content, including content posted by users in interactive portions of any Girl Scouts site (“Submissions” or “User-Provided Content”) governed by these Terms and Conditions. We also have designated an agent to receive notices of claimed copyright infringement. If you believe in good faith that your copyright has been infringed, you may submit a notice to dmca@girlscouts.org. To be effective, a notice must be a written communication provided to Girl Scouts of the USA’s copyright agent and must contain:
An electronic or physical signature of the person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the copyright interest;
A description of the copyrighted work that you claim has been infringed;
A description specifying the location of the material that you claim is infringing;
Your telephone number and email address;
A statement by you that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; and
A statement by you, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the copyright owner’s behalf.
You acknowledge that failure to meet the elements above will not be a valid notice and Girl Scouts of USA may not consider your request.
If you believe that User-Provided Content that you posted to a Girl Scouts of Southeastern New England site was removed (or to which access was disabled) or is not infringing, or that you have the authorization from the copyright owner, the copyright owner's agent, or pursuant to the law, to post and use the material in your User-Provided Content, you may send a counter-notice containing the following information to the copyright agent:
If a counter-notice is received by the copyright agent, Girl Scouts of the USA may send a copy to the original complaining party informing that person that it may replace the removed User-Provided Content or cease disabling it in ten business days. Unless the copyright owner files an action seeking a court order against the User-Provided Content provider, member, or user, the removed User-Provided Content may be replaced, or access to it restored, in 10 to 14 business days or more after receipt of the counter-notice, at Girl Scouts of the USA’s sole discretion.

You expressly agree that the exclusive jurisdiction for any claim or action arising out of or relating to these Terms and Conditions or your use of this site shall be filed only in the federal courts located in Rhode Island. You agree to the personal jurisdiction by and venue in the state and federal courts in Rhode Island and waive any objection to such jurisdiction or venue. Any claim under these Terms and Conditions against Girl Scouts of Southeastern New England must be brought within one (1) year after the cause of action arises, or such claim or cause of action is barred.
You acknowledge that any breach or threatened breach of these Terms and Conditions will result in irreparable harm for which damages would not be an adequate remedy, and, therefore, in addition to our rights and remedies otherwise available at law, we shall be entitled to seek immediate equitable relief, including injunctive relief, as appropriate. If we seek any equitable remedies, we shall not be precluded or prevented from seeking remedies at law, nor shall we be deemed to have made an election of remedies. These remedies are in addition to any other remedies Girl Scouts of Southeastern New England may have at law or in equity. If Girl Scouts of Southeastern New England does take any legal action against you as a result of your violation of these Terms and Conditions, Girl Scouts of Southeastern New England will be entitled to recover from you, and you agree to pay, all reasonable attorney fees and costs of such action, in addition to any other relief granted toGirl Scouts of Southeastern New England.
Other than for payment obligations, neither party will be liable for or considered to be in breach of these Terms and Conditions on account of either party’s delay or failure to perform as required under these Terms and Conditions as a result of any causes or conditions that (a) are beyond the party’s reasonable control (including but not limited to acts of God, including storms and other natural occurrences; fires; explosions; telecommunications, internet, or other network failures; results of vandalism or computer hacking; national emergencies, insurrections, acts of terrorism, riots, wars, strikes, or other labor difficulties); and (b) the party is unable to overcome through the exercise of commercially reasonable diligence (a “Force Majeure Event”). If any such Force Majeure Event occurs, the affected party will give the other party notice and use commercially reasonable efforts to minimize the impact of any such event.
Any waiver by Girl Scouts of Southeastern New England of a breach of any provision of these Terms and Conditions shall not operate as or be construed to be a waiver of any other breach of such provision or of any breach of any other provision of these Terms and Conditions. Any waiver must be in writing. Failure by us to insist upon strict adherence to any term of these Terms and Conditions on one or more occasions shall not be considered a waiver or deprive us of the right to insist upon strict adherence to that term or any other term of these Terms and Conditions.
If any part of these Terms and Conditions is unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that part will be deemed severable and will not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions and such severable part shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary and replaced with a valid provision that best embodies the intent of these Terms of Use, so that these Terms of Use shall remain in full force and effect.
Possible evidence of use of this site for illegal purposes will be provided to law enforcement authorities.

SPECIAL PROVISIONS APPLICABLE TO USERS OUTSIDE THE UNITED STATES
We strive to create a global community with consistent standards for everyone, but we also strive to respect local laws. The following provisions apply to users and non-users who interact with Girl Scouts of Southeastern New England outside the United States:
You consent to having your personal data transferred to and processed in the United States.
If you are located in a country embargoed by the United States, or are on the U.S. Treasury Department's list of Specially Designated Nationals you will not engage in commercial activities on Girl Scouts of Southeastern New England’s website (such as advertising or payments).
TERMINATION
These terms are effective until terminated by either party. You may terminate these terms at any time by discontinuing use of all Girl Scouts of Southeastern New England websites and destroying all Contents obtained from any and all such sites and all related documentation and all copies and installations thereof, whether made under these terms or otherwise. Girl Scouts of Southeastern New England may terminate at any time your access to any and all Girl Scouts of Southeastern New England websites without notice for any reason or no reason, including if in our sole discretion you fail to comply with any term or provision of these Terms and Conditions.
