We are excited to offer Rallyhood as a tool for our Girl Scout community to stay connected. All users of our council's Rallyhood agree to the below Rallyhood Code of Conduct and our Terms & Conditions.
Be a sister to every Girl Scout. Remember that behind every screen is a human being with independent thoughts and feelings. It is easy to misunderstand or be rude to others when you are not interacting with them in person. Before posting ask yourself: Would you say it to the person's face?
This rule is a reminder that the ethical standards and laws that govern our society extend to cyberspace as well. This includes harassment and bullying, the use of profanity, copyright regulations, and privacy.
Electronic communication takes time: time to read and time in which to respond. Most people today lead busy lives, just like you do. Make your written communication meaningful and to the point.
Mental bandwidth is the moment-to-moment amount of brain resources that each person possesses. Like time and physical energy, there is a limit to the amount of mental bandwidth we have available.
Keep in mind that everyone has different pulls on their time and bandwidth. Monopolizing and offensive commentary in Rallyhood could result in removal.
Rallyhood is a great platform for sharing useful information. However, it can also be used to spread misinformation and distortions. If you hold a lot of knowledge about a certain topic or subject, don't be afraid to share it online in a manner that is helpful and accurate.
Give other users the benefit of the doubt and consider that they may come from a different background or have less experience. Do not be rude when you encounter someone's mistake—always respond with courtesy and respect.
